My best friend, Eleni Tongas and I created EVIE to solve a major problem we saw within the jewelry industry— water resistant, tarnish resistant, and hypoallergenic plated jewelry at an affordable price point!
We’ve become well acquainted with the spontaneous jump in a pool or an ocean (or for us a lake in Madison, WI) that results in tarnished jewelry and green fingers—and it got us thinking, and looking for a solution. After countless hours of research and many sketchbook pages we designed and developed our first gold plated, quality, and affordable jewelry collection.
